This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an Antitrust & Competition Counsel based in the United States. This role offers the opportunity to advise clients on complex antitrust and competition matters across global markets. You’ll help businesses identify regulatory risks and develop practical strategies to address them. The position spans merger control, government investigations, regulatory inquiries, and competition compliance. You’ll work closely with business, product, commercial, and regulatory stakeholders, particularly within technology-focused environments. Your guidance will help organizations navigate evolving competition regulations while supporting commercial and product objectives. The role combines sophisticated legal analysis with hands-on business counseling and cross-functional collaboration. It is well suited to a lawyer who enjoys solving complex regulatory challenges and translating legal requirements into practical action. Accountabilities - Advise clients on antitrust and competition law matters across domestic and international markets. - Support merger control assessments and provide antitrust analysis for mergers, acquisitions, and other strategic transactions. - Assist with government investigations, regulatory inquiries, enforcement matters, and related litigation. - Provide practical, day-to-day guidance to business teams on competition risks and regulatory requirements. - Develop and support antitrust compliance programs, internal policies, training materials, and practical legal guidance. - Partner with product, commercial, regulatory, and other business stakeholders to identify, assess, and address competition issues. - Help clients balance regulatory obligations with business, product, and commercial objectives. - Monitor developments in competition law and regulatory frameworks to provide timely and proactive legal advice. Requirements - Demonstrated experience advising on antitrust, competition law, or related regulatory matters. - Experience supporting government investigations, regulatory inquiries, enforcement proceedings, or related disputes.
- Strong knowledge of merger control requirements and antitrust analysis in M&A transactions. - Proven ability to counsel business teams on competition risks and translate complex legal requirements into practical recommendations. - Strong communication, negotiation, analytical, technology, and problem-solving skills. - Ability to collaborate effectively with business and legal stakeholders across functions and jurisdictions. - Juris Doctor degree and active license to practice law in an applicable U. S. jurisdiction. - Experience advising technology companies or working within the technology sector is preferred. - Experience handling cross-border competition matters and navigating global regulatory regimes is a plus. - Exposure to antitrust litigation, investigations, or enforcement proceedings is advantageous.
