This is a great opportunity for someone with a "Whatever It Takes" approach who is dependable, technically capable, and ready to make an impact while continuing to grow their maintenance career.This opening comes as a result of an internal promotion, highlighting the growth opportunities available within our service teams.As a Service Technician, you will:Complete daily maintenance work orders and respond efficiently to resident service requestsSupport apartment turns and make-readies to prepare homes for incoming residentsTroubleshoot and complete repairs involving plumbing, appliances, electrical, carpentry, and HVACWork with gas appliances and split-system HVAC equipmentMaintain interior and exterior areas in accordance with company standards and applicable requirementsDiagnose maintenance issues and complete repairs independently when appropriateCommunicate professionally with residents, office staff, and fellow service team membersAssist the Service Manager and maintenance team during high-volume service and make-ready periodsParticipate reliably in the property's rotating on-call scheduleThe ideal candidate will bring strong hands-on maintenance skills and the ability to balance work orders, resident needs, emergency requests, and apartment turns in a fast-paced environment.Compensation & IncentivesBase Pay: $22.00 – $24.00/hourUp to 50% Rent DiscountProperty Staff Shared Renewal CommissionsMorgan Essentials: $300 quarterlyOn-Call Appreciation: $15/day for holding the on-call phoneMedical, Dental, and Vision Benefits401(k) Retirement Plan with Company MatchGenerous Paid Time Off, including 10 holidays per year and sick leaveScheduleMonday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PMRotating on-call approximately every 4 weeksMust be available and prepared to respond to emergency eventsSchedule subject to change based on business needsWhat we'll expect from youActive, valid driver's license and personal vehicleMultifamily maintenance experience strongly preferredAt least one year of related maintenance experience or an equivalent combination of education and experienceHands-on experience with plumbing, appliance repair, electrical troubleshooting, and general repairsHVAC experience is preferred; HVAC/EPA/CFC certification is a plusExperience with gas appliances and split system HVAC is preferredExperience completing work orders and supporting apartment turns/make-readiesAbility to work independently while contributing to a team environmentStrong customer-service mindset and professional communication skillsDependability, positive attitude, and willingness to assist where neededSherwood Crossing offers the opportunity to join an established maintenance team while supporting a large, active community with consistent work order and make-ready activity, an excellent environment for a technician looking to strengthen their skills and build a long-term career with Morgan Properties.AC#6318If you are hired at Morgan Properties, your overall compensation package will also be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience which may result in total compensation outside of this range.
